After graduating from Princeton University in 1998, Ashok spent a year working on a post-doc at U.C. Berkeley. Afterwards, he joined Inktomi Corp. in Foster City, CA, where he was a member of the Traffic Server engineering team. In addition to developing software for the Traffic Server proxy cache product, Ashok also served as engineering manager for the Traffic Server Core Protocols engineering team.
Ashok also served as one of the engineering managers for the Inktomi Web Search team, which was eventually acquired by Yahoo!.
After leaving Yahoo! in 2003, Ashok joined Catalytic Inc., an early-stage startup specializing in Matlab-to-C compilation. Ashok played a key role in developing the Catalytic M2C synthesis tool, which has been used by major corporations such as Lockheed Martin and Raytheon.
Currently, Ashok is a member of the technical staff at Tintri, Inc., an early-stage stealth-mode startup in Mountain View, CA.
