Nigel Lee received his Ph.D. in electrical engineering from Princeton University in 1995; his dissertation was on linear time-frequency detection of transient signals. From 1995-1998, he worked at the Naval Undersea Warfare Center in Newport, RI in the weapons technology division. He has been at MIT Lincoln Laboratory since September 1998 in the Advanced Sensor Techniques group, working mainly on adaptive signal processing techniques for detection and parameter estimation in active and passive sonar applications.
