Dispatchable solar using battery storage

Over the past 10 years, solar photovoltaic (PV) generation went from being a specialized energy source for small electronic gadgets and remote facilities to being part of the mainstream electricity mix. Solar PV generation is now one of the fastest growing sources of the electrical generation mix; however, it presents significant business and technical challenges to various electric power industry stakeholders, from grid operators to residential and commercial end users of electricity. In this lecture, we will discuss how battery storage technology can be utilized to address those challenges.
