Student Support

Every doctoral student in good standing is supported for the length of her/his program. In particular, all first-year doctoral students are supported on University fellowships. This support gives students time to take introductory courses and to explore different research programs before selecting a research advisor. Opportunities also exist for summer support at Princeton and for summer research internships in industry. The Department, the School, and the University recognize outstanding achievements of graduate students through various awards including the prestigious Wu and Upton Fellowships, Wu and Upton prizes, an Outstanding Teaching Assistant Award, awards to support research, and final-year Honorific Fellowships.
