Electrical Engineering Celebrates Graduate Students

On June 5, 2017, the EE Department celebrated 24 graduate students completing the PhD program and 1 MSE student completing the program over the past year.  Family and friends attended the breakfast reception witht he students and faculty advisors to celebrate this milestone of the students' education.  Prof. Peter Ramadge, Director of Graduate Studies in Electrical Engineering provided opening remarks and introduced the alumni speaker, Yanbing Li, *98, Senior Vice President and General Manager for VM Ware.
 
Following the remarks, Prof. Ramadge acknowledged the recent Master of Arts recipients and presented the departmental awards.  The Early Stage Career Award is given to a student who has completed the second year of the program with an outstanding general exam grade.  This year's recipient was Fengyu Zheng, advised by Prof. Antoine Kahn.  The Bede Liu Best Dissertation Award was presented to Pramod Subramanyan, advised by Prof. Sharad Malik.  Prof. Ramadge and Prof. Malik presented the students completing the program with a gift from the department.
