Kaushik Sengupta receives DARPA Young Faculty Award

April 3, 2018

Assistant Professor of Electrical Engineering Kaushik Sengupta will receive a 2018 Young Faculty Award from the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA). The award, which includes grant funding for two years and mentorship with Department of Defense contacts, comes for the Sangupta group's work "on universally programmable chip-scale millimeter-Wave transmitter systems and arrays across 30-100 GHz." Sangupta sees this work translating to future sensing, imaging and communication applications.

"The long-term goal of the YFA program is to develop the next generation of academic scientists, engineers and mathematicians in key disciplines who will focus a significant portion of their careers on DoD and national security issues," according to the Young Faculty Award website.
