Two EE Professors Received AFOSR Young Investigator Program Awards

Prof. Naveen Verma and Prof. David Wentzlaff have have both received the 2014 Air Force Office of Scientific Research (AFOSR) Young Investigator Program (YIP) Award.  The YIP is open to scientists and engineers at research institutions across the United States who received Ph.D. or equivalent degrees in the last five years and who show exceptional ability and promise for conducting basic research.
Prof. Verma received the award for his proposal "From Sensor Data to High-value Information: Ultra-low-energy Platforms for Deriving Inferences from Complex Embedded Signals" and Prof. Wentzlaff received the award for his proposal "Megacore Operating System and Chip Architecture Co-Design".
