Biography

Fatima Toor received the B.S. in physics and engineering sciences with honors from Smith College, Northampton, MA in 2004. She received the M. A. in 2006 and the PhD in 2009 both from the Department of Electrical Engineering at Princeton University, Princeton, NJ. Previously she held a Picker Engineering Fellowship at Smith College and was awarded the APS/IBM Women in Physics Undergraduate Research Program award for work on process optimization of semiconductor device fabrication at the IBM T. J. Watson Research Labs, Yorktown Heights, NY.

Currently, she is a postdoctoral fellow at the National Renewable Energy Lab, Golden, CO, working on silicon based photovoltaics and photoelectrochemistry for hydrogen generation.

She is a member of Sigma Xi, American Physical Society, Optical Society of America, Society of Women Engineers and IEEE.
